Brown and Blue feat Nicole by OPI's Hart-Kourt Fashionista

Hey everyone!

I’m going hard with this stamping thing! It just makes me feel better about my little nubs. This manicure was done using two colors that I had been wanting to use together for a while. The base for this manicure is 2 coats of SH Insta-Dri in Blue-Away on the index and 2 coats of of Nicole by OPI’s Hart-Kourt Fashionista on all the others.

I added brown dots to the index finger using a small dotting tool and stamped  a swirly design on all the other fingers. I just love brown and baby blue together!

What do you think?

Enjoy!

Going Tribal with Essie's Turquoise & Caicos

Hey guys!

Oh how I miss my long nails! Even my sisters and my girls have noticed. I’ve been getting hit with one liners like “What the hell happened to your nails!?!” left and right lol It’s okay though, I’ll survive. The fun thing about short nails is that they make me want to use my stamping plates, which have been collecting dust for the past few months.

This manicure is very subtle but I really enjoyed wearing it even if it was only for a day. I started with 2 coats of SH Insta-Dri in Mint Sprint on the thumb and ring finger and 2 coats of Essie’s Turquoise  & Caicos on the other fingers. I added 1 coat of Essie’s Shine of the Times on the thumb and index and stamped a tribal pattern over the other fingers using Mint Sprint as my stamping polish.

I took these pics while out on break from work.

Enjoy!

Delicate but far from boring!

Don't knock it 'til you try it! feat Essie's Chinchilly

Hey loves!

The polish I want to show you today is one that I’ve been kind of lukewarm about. Essie’s Chinchilly is a light grey cream with a little taupe mixed in. There isn’t much I won’t wear in terms of color but as popular as this shade has been, it just didn’t turn me on. Well after passing by it like a million times I finally decided to pick this baby up and see what the hype was about.

What you’ll see below is two coats of Chinchilly with topcoat. I must say it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. Quite neutral against my skin tone. I just don’t see myself reaching for this one over and over… I’ll be sure to try it again with some embellishments; everything is better with a little nail art.

Besos,

A night at the movies feat Color Club's Wild At Heart

Hey loves!

The polish I’ll be showing you today is wait for it… NOT Gelish! lol My nails are so short I can’t really be bothered with applying Gelish when I can’t wrap my tips properly.

Saturday night my sisters and I took my boys to see the last Batman movie and Color Club’s Wild At Heart was my polish of choice for the evening. I had been meaning to get my hands on this shade for a while now but never got around to it until recently.

I took these pictures on our way to the movies, enjoy!

Pink Gradient feat. China Glaze Something Sweet

Hey loves!

The boys and I are still settling into our new spot so the blog posts might be a little shorter than usual but I’m going to try my best to keep ‘em coming. I’ve been feeling a little deflated these days and so getting back to doing things I love is important to me right now.

My nails have been completely naked since I took off my last manicure but I finally got around to doing something about it today. I decided to try a pink gradient.

The base is two coats of China Glaze’s Something Sweet and I created the gradient effect with two more China Glaze polishes: Pink Underground and Sexy Lady. I then stamped some flowers with SH Insta-Dri in Whirlwind White on the thumb and ring finger and again in SH Insta-Dri Flashy Fuchsia on the other fingers.

Enjoy!

Dark Days & Skulls feat Essence Black is Black

Hey loves!

This manicure was inspired by the words of a friend. We were talking and the conversation ended with me telling him that life isn’t always puppies and rainbows to which he replied that it’s not always dark days and skulls either…

My artistic mind is always at work and so with his words stuck in my head I painted 2 coats of Essence Color & Go in Black is Black on all my nails. I then added silver bullion beads to my ring finger and skulls to the pinky and index fingers using Konad white.

Though my friend couldn’t care less about nail polish he does love him some skulls so I think he just might like this look and I must say I’m pretty happy with the results.

Besos!

Gelish Sugar 'N Spice & Everything Nice + Update!

Hey guys!

It’s been a minute huh? lol Well I couldn’t blog because I was handling some family business, working a few shows and moving! Yes I moved. I’m currently blogging from my new spot. The whole thing was so exhausting! I’m just lying in bed feeling tired just looking at all the stuff I have to unpack. After all the stress I went through to make this happen I decided I’m not going to rush too much.

My poor nails have taken quite a beating and I had to chop them all off again (Gelish is awesome but not a miracle worker). I’ve been wearing the same nail polish for weeks. Urgh. I’m hoping I can tend to that some time tonight. Posting will continue to be slow for the next little while as my kids and I settle in but I think I have a few back up pictures I can use to hold you guys over until I get back into the swing of things. For real. lol

I swear every time I want to kick things into high gear with this blog, something happens in my personal life to slow me down. I’m hoping things will calm down for real in the next few weeks!

Here is a pic of my long nails before the big chop. This is Gelish in Sugar ‘N Spice & Everything Nice with June Bride on the ring finger. I did this mani right after giving my nails that almond shape the ladies are favoring right now. I wore this for almost 2 weeks and as usual Gelish did not disappoint. No chips and amazing shine. What more could a girl ask for?

Besos!
